Join Heartsong in making a Difference in our Community

Matthew 25:34-36

“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world. For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’

  • Second Helpings Food Pantry

Heartsong's Food Pantry is open on the 2nd & 4th Saturdays of every month from 9-11 AM. Working alongside Kroger, Trader Joe's, and the Mid-South Food Bank, Heartsong serves over 100 families in the community facing food insecurity. This is a great opportunity for individuals, groups and families to join in being the hands & feet of Jesus. For more information in helping, contact Donna Johnson.

  • HEARTSONG Dance Club

For the Intellectually & Physically Challenged

The Heartsong Dance Club is a fun, recreational activity for adults in the Memphis community with intellectual or physical challenges, their families and care-givers. Each bi-monthly dance has a new fun theme, great music, and pizza and soft drinks are served. Contact Jim Joesel to attend or help.

  • ROOM IN THE INN

Through RITI Memphis, every two weeks Heartsong hosts 12-15 guests who have no where to spend the night. Dinner and fellowship are shared, and our guests receive a safe, comfortable place to sleep for the night. If this ministry stirs your heart, please contact Donna Johnson, for more information on how you can get involved.

  • ST. JOHN'S SOUP KITCHEN

St. John's Soup Kitchen provides vital nutrition for people who are homeless, precariously housed, just passing through town, or are part of the growing numbers of working poor. The facility is wonderful and so are the people we meet and serve. Food is prepared in Heartsong's kitchen, then transported and served at St. John's. Heartsong provides dinner several times per year. Contact George Mayo for more information.

  • KAIROS OUTSIDE

Kairos Outside is a weekend retreat designed to support the female loved ones of men and women who are, or have been, incarcerated. Families of the incarcerated often feel like they are "doing time" right along with their incarcerated loved ones. In a safe environment with loving people, women interact with other women who are in similar situations. Contact Marilynn Biggers to learn more.

  • The Heartsong House

Working within a focused covenantal agreement, The Heartsong House (on Heartsong’s campus) offers secure housing and support for an individual or family needing short-term assistance to get their feet back underneath them. This ministry offers the opportunity to build Jesus-centered relationships of compassion and care. Contact Laurie Hare about joining this team.
